National Museum of the U.S. Air
Force

1100 Spaatz Street
Wright-Patterson AFB
Dayton, Ohio 45433

This fine museum offers military exhibits stretching through time. The five main galleries feature the topics of Early Military Flight to World War II, World War II, Korean War, Southeast Asian War, and the Cold War.

Travel time is about 90 minutes. There is also an I-Max Theatre and a café. This is a large museum with numerous displays. It would be easy to spend at least an hour in each gallery.

Car Pools will be arranged. A suggested schedule would be to leave our area at noon, be in the museum before 2:00 P.M. and leave about 4:30 to travel the 15-20 minutes to the restaurant. Each car pool should feel free to alter this schedule, depending on the interest of the riders.

We will meet at 5:00 p.m. at a highly recommended local restaurant ---Jay’s in the Historic Oregon District 225 E. Sixth St. Dayton, Ohio 45402 937-222-2892.

This restaurant features seafood, but also has a varied menu including steaks.

Many thanks to Richard Grimm for doing the research to prepare for this trip.
